Full-length Play excerpt: home
Cil left home at 18 and swore never to return. In hopes to save up money to make a big move to South America, she goes back and finds herself slipping back into the familiar patterns of home. This monologue ends the play. Cil is at the worktable at the factory surrounded by piles of basins, etc. She is speaking to Tracy, a new worker. As Cil goes through the instructions of how to polish basins, she does what she is saying with ease. In the end she leaves the audience with the question - will she ever leave?

Short Play: Clippings This piece was performed in a showcase with Net Curtains at the Tricycle Theatre (23 October, 2005).
It is England poised on the brink of a new day with a bill about to be passed through parliament that will abolish the monarchy. Unfortunately, 15 year old monarchist Mark would do anything to keep them in place, including sacrificing his life for the cause. In 3 intersecting monologues, we witness Mark and politician David's thoughts the day before the bill is presented with Mark's mother Susan's thoughts in the aftermath of her son's actions. Embracing the idea of what is a hero, we see the journey of a mother, her son and a cutting edge politician in a world of pride, regret and final judgement.

How far would you go to get what you want? Exploring the ideas behind racism and terrorism, Intersection was written for the Forsite, Doing Lines Festival which was held at the Pleasance Theatre, 10-16 May, 2005.

Feature Film excerpt: Two Fists
Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. A place of reservations, convenient stores, and the penitentiary. Kids play hockey in the streets and prairie dogs poke their heads up. On the other side of the coin, it's a place of homeless men, half dressed, shoeless, dirty toddlers, and welfare housing. This is the world of Marie, a young white girl destined to be a IGA bottled blonde, Kyle, a young Metis male with the dream of leaving town for university, and Harland, a Native male of the same age who is content to have no dreams beyond smoking and drinking. In a world where the poor have only the poor to turn to, these three friends are bound together by circumstance and a secret that could destroy their dreams.

Essance revolves around the life of a woman obsessed with capturing the perfect man. She discovers a magical product which can ensare people and imprisions their essance into bottles that morph into the shape of victim.

The day of their mother's funeral, two sisters question their need for each other and what it means to be related. Exploring the idea of family and sisterly relationships, this film takes place over the last night the sisters will be together before their childhood home is sold and they go back to moving in different circles.
