What’s a modern cowboy? Do you consider yourself a one? Do you follow the cowboy code but don’t look like a stereotypical cowboy? Have you fantasized about the romance of the cowboy culture or would you rather never see another pair of cowboy boots or hat again?

I am an Albertan writer/ performer looking for stories - your own or other people’s - that have to do with your experience and thoughts on cowboys. Do we need to go back to the old cowboy ways? And why has there been a surge of more westerns in the cinema?

I’m looking to do a creative project around the idea of the modern cowboy and the cowboy code and would like to interview people over the next year to find out more of your thoughts. But before I can interview anyone, I need to know who has some good stories to tell! So please message me or add your stories below. If you know of any good links or podcasts or people I should contact, I’d appriciate your help!

Be great if you could help me out - whether it’s about music, culture, stereotypes, ideas, loves, fears - I’d love to hear it all!

You can add your ideas to my facebook page or email me.
